Integrated receiver system for
signal search intercept and monitoring collection
Compact wide-band
multi-band spectrum monitoring receiver system is designed to search intercept
and monitor frequency spectrum in HF VHF UHF bands. With the help of its fast
scanning, wide band receiver capable to recognize and log the activity in the
frequency spectrum. The system using its own digital multi-channel monitoring
collection receiver to demodulate, record, analyze and decode (optional) the
received signal, can measure the direction of the incoming radio signal
(optional) and with its own fast scanning receiver can continuously monitor and
log the spectrum activity. Every parameter can be adjusted by the operator on
the local terminal GUI in case of stand-alone operation or if connected through
TCP/IP network, can be operated remotely by notebook computer.

This integrated
monitoring collection and radio direction finding receiver (RDF) system can be
used for stand-alone monitoring and direction finding of communications in the
HF VHF UHF bands in signal intelligence (SIGINT), communication intelligence (COMINT)
missions. The system is able to automatically search a given frequency
band and store the active channels (frequency search) and subsequently scan the
stored channels from its internal memory channel bank (memory scan). The
equipment is shipped in a custom, rugged case with a rapid-deployable, portable
direction finding antenna. The antenna system contains an electronic compass
with an automatic North reference direction for bearing calibration. A built-in
Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver is used for determining the actual
location of the equipment. An optional data radio transceiver or Internet
connection may be used to transmit radio direction finding results, parameters
and status information to a remotely-located or distant control. In the control
center the received data or the logged offline data can be used for geo-location
of target radio transmitters using the optional triangulation software and
displayed on a map at the center workstation. Off-line processing of the
measured data is possible using the system’s log files.
